This Week in Intro to Social Medicine: Write a 1-2 page paper on what Rudolph Virchow should have recommended re: the typhus epidemic in Upper Sylesia in 1848.  I am on the Spirit of 1848 Listserv, and I still do not care to answer this question. I know what he recommended. I know why they thought this assignment was a good idea. It was not.  1848 is too far back for a modern global health analysis. Polio Eradication or more recent, people. We all love Virchow, but seriously, you want me to tell you about the Sylesians?
